Here I Love You

Here I love you.
In the dark pines the wind disentangles itself.
The moon glows like phosphorous on the vagrant waters.
Days, all one kind, go chasing each other.

The snow unfurls in dancing figures.
A silver gull slips down from the west.
Sometimes a sail. High, high stars.

Oh the black cross of a ship.
Alone.

Sometimes I get up early and even my soul is wet.
Far away the sea sounds and resounds.
This is a port.

Here I love you.
Here I love you and the horizon hides you in vain.
I love you still among these cold things.
Sometimes my kisses go on those heavy vessels
that cross the sea towards no arrival.
I see myself forgotten like those old anchors.

The piers sadden when the afternoon moors there.
My life grows tired, hungry to no purpose.
I love what I do not have. You are so far.
My loathing wrestles with the slow twilights.
But night comes and starts to sing to me.

The moon turns its clockwork dream.
The biggest stars look at me with your eyes.
And as I love you, the pines in the wind
want to sing your name with their leaves of wire.

La Casa de Bernarda Alba

hi :)

Hello to another busy week. Well at least not so much though. I am just stressing over my world literature prelim exam. Revisions for the final manuscript for our communication research class. Radio Production recording and PR class survey. Not so much... I think. Also, the new list of electives are out now. I can't decide which one to choose but I am definitely getting what my friends are getting. I don't want to go solo on my thesis. I need blockmates. Actually, I am thinking of getting writing for TV but... I don't have anyone to take it with. Sigh.

On the other hand, I am excited for tomorrow! Knowledge Channel will be airing La Casa de Bernarda Alba a play produced by Teatro Kolehiyo ng Miriam and Miriam College Institute for the Arts. It is directed by Riki Benedicto. Cast includes: Katrina Roxas, Lee Agustin, Alyssa Daculug, Hazel Paras, Gia Querubin, Junna Reyes, Coke Cruz, Joesie Credo and yours truly. YAY! :) Congrats everyone :)

Schedule:
January 18 and 20 (8:20pm)
January 22 (7pm)

and this is what I want my hair to look like... :) haha

Cusp

Hi :)

It's Friday and I am home studying for my Economics class. I am not really good at it, so I have to step it up a notch. I was actually analyzing the wrong slope that is why I get wrong answers. I felt really stupid when I found out about it. :( Anyway, this week was busy. School is stressing me and when I think about the grades I feel like throwing up. I get anxiety attacks that are very unnecessary. Seriously, I have to stop worrying. Whew.

On the other hand, I am excited for what I am going to wear tomorrow! Yey! I love Saturdays (Mondays too) because we get to wear clothes other than our school uniform. :D I am also excited for Luxe Mode's 52nd Collection that will come out this Sunday! You better watch out for it. :) Oh and by the way, you can now follow us on twitter (luxemodebyvanya) and like us on facebook (luxe mode by vanya).

Lastly, I have read something about the new zodiac signs for 2011. Thank God we are not included in that thing. I somehow believe that the characteristics of the zodiac signs are true (well at least for me) and I love being a Cusp. A Cusp is being the borderline of two different zodiacs. My birthday falls on April 20 and that day separates Taurus from Aries. This explains why I have Aries traits. Although, someone told me that it is better if you embrace only one of the two zodiac signs. I think I am more of a Taurus. Hmm. So what do you think about this?

must haves for 2011! :)

Poetry

In Blackwater Woods
Mary Oliver

Look, the trees
are turning
their own bodies
into pillars

of light,
are giving off the rich
fragrance of cinnamon
and fulfillment,

the long tapers
of cattails
are bursting and floating away over
the blue shoulders

of the ponds,
and every pond,
no matter what its
name is, is

nameless now.
Every year
everything
I have ever learned

in my lifetime
leads back to this: the fires
and the black river of loss
whose other side

is salvation,
whose meaning
none of us will ever know.
To live in this world

you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it

against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.

Tamala

hello:)

I had been busy over the week due to late night rehearsals for Miriam College Institute for the Arts, Tamala. A play written by Liza Magtoto and Directed by Tuxqs Rutaquio. The play was first staged in Miriam College during the last quarter of 2010. It was made by the most talented and well known people in the theatre industry and I am very honored to be a part of it as a dancer. We had a busy weekend as we were asked to stage it in SM Marikina (Saturday) and SM Fairview (Sunday). Thank you for all those who watched it and we really enjoyed sharing our time with you.

Here are some photos during rehearsals and the show.

Poetry is Fascinating

Keeping Things Whole

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

There is only we ♥

Sonnet XVII

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

happy 4th to my happy heart♥

Hello happy January 3rd! :)

Went out for a meeting today and wore my new acid washed ripped jeans and my punk rock cropped top to school and I got a violation for it. So much for trying to wear something new today. Sigh. I also went on a date with my love today. We watched a movie and ate out and talked a lot! :) :) :) Also, I fixed some items for delivery, org files and currently I am finishing off my take home readings for my Phil. Constitution class tomorrow for a possible graded recitation. I am excited for school because I told my self to push it a little harder and aim higher to maintain my grades for graduation.

So, that's it. I wasn't able to take a photo of what I wore today but I will soon :) haha! Let us cross our fingers for a good 2nd half of 2nd sem! Tamala rehearsals for our SM shows this weekend starts tomorrow too. Soooo excited.

Goodnight!

Happy 1-1-11♥

Happy New Year Lovelies! I hope you had a blast last night. As part of our family tradition, we basically stayed home and watched a movie while waiting for midnight. My mom was too scared to go out during New Year so we didn't hear mass too. Also as part of our tradition, alcohol is not served on New Year's eve. Haha! (been craving for super cold Tanduay Ice for days now). Before 12 we took pictures first but pop was too giddy about the fireworks he was restless and we ended up getting shots wherein dad was looking somewhere. We had awesome food too! We had carbonara, spaghetti, christmas ham, cheese, caldereta, bulalo and hot chocolate. :) We ended the night watching 2012 on HBO with the whole family. :D

My resolution for 2011 is to be able to save up more and upload at least twice a week for Luxe Mode and reach my 100th collection before December. What is your New Year's resolution? :)

The day is not yet over! I'll be heading to my best friend's house in a few. Gotta party a little before I face my books tomorrow and get busy with school. Can't wait for Monday too! It's our 4th. hihi. Sooo happy :) Have to go! Bye Lovers! Happy 2011!
50th Collection tomorrow! :)

What I wore to mass earlier today
yellow polka dot tube top, lace tiered skirt, black military cut blazer, black belt, yellow shoes

Media Noche with Sibs mom & dad were still outside when this was taken :)

Baby you're a firework :)

Hello 2011!
Make a wish!:)
